‘Washed Socks’ by Jay Cool |
Pink socks, and green,
hanging out to dry –
mingling into
amber.
A shade that suits
a sallow skin –
the ageing flakes of
yellowed feet.
Shreds and slivers,
peels of the past,
hanging.
