Savvy Poem – Worthlessness

mona-lisa-67506_1920

Am I worth less than a life that is half my age?

If that is the case, then why do they double me up,

paying me twice as much as my younger self,

only to then let go of my worthlessness –

to save themselves from the cost

of my pricelessness?

Freelance writer and descendant of the cave dweller and outlaw, Humphrey Kynaston. Banished from Shropshire for my eccentricity, I have made my home in Suffolk. I write poetry, short stories, travel journals, comedy gig reviews and non-fiction articles. My wish is to write my way back into the heart of my birth land. All writing commissions (and free holidays in Shropshire!) considered.
