Savvy Poem – Inchoate

giant-1013693_1920

I choke,

on the words that I am expected to suck in,

to believe.

I chew,

on the words for just a short while, before

I spit                                                                                  them out, well beyond the finish line

and then I                           chase them                 catch them                   and

crush

them

flat.
