We bat away the fog and walk through onslaughts
pulling out the arrows and battling on, knowing that to stand by
and to say nothing, in the knowledge of the wrongs
committed by those who know everything, but see
nothing, would be wrong, even though we see
that to say something, is to invite all of the wrongness
to take out all of its nothings on something,
and knowing that the something is
us. And knowing that we are not nothing.

Freelance writer and descendant of the cave dweller and outlaw, Humphrey Kynaston. Banished from Shropshire for my eccentricity, I have made my home in Suffolk. I write poetry, short stories, travel journals, comedy gig reviews and non-fiction articles. My wish is to write my way back into the heart of my birth land. All writing commissions (and free holidays in Shropshire!) considered.
